Instructors: Laurie Rappeport & Smadar Goldstein There is no question that the development of the internet and social networking in the last decade has changed the way in which students learn, and way we teach. The trend toward wired classrooms, laptop environments, bring your own device venues, and ipad or chromebook classrooms have opened up endless possibilities to more effectively engage our students in the learning processes – to enhance their classroom experience and to enable them to generate their own learning beyond the classroom. This learning pathway is designed to familiarize you with online tools, skills, and methodologies that can empower you to utilize digital tools to maximize learning in your classroom. The instructor, leading eTeacher Smadar Goldstein, shares a user friendly toolbox that she developed through hundreds of online PD webinars and online classes over the past five years, to provide activities that assist you in adapting them to your own educational environment. Each lesson is accompanies with new digital tools, demonstrations on how to create and use them, and tried and true best practices. Participants will use these tools in their own learning and facilitated feedback is offered with each tool.
