Mike Fisher is a former teacher with over a decade of classroom and professional development experience and is now a full time educational consultant and instructional coach. He has worked with schools internationally regarding topics such as Curriculum Mapping, Instructional Technology and 21st Century skills, Response to Intervention, and creating Digital Professional Learning Networks.Mike specializes in instructional coaching around curriculum mapping and curriculum upgrades, particularly in the wake of technology tools, Common Core integration and alignment, and research based instructional strategies.
Mike, with his friend and colleague Janet Hale, have co-authored a new book entitled Upgrade Your Curriculum: Practical Ways to Transform Units and Engage Students
Mike is also publishing a book with 4th and 5th grade students at Martin J. Gottlieb Day School as a collaborative project. (These students are powerful collaborators, by the way!)
